Day 2 :

Best of Port Arthur Historic convict settlement

Step back in time and explore the historic buildings and ruins of Port Arthur Historic Site. Join guided walks of Port Arthur and the Isle of the Dead to understand the convict history of the site over 200 years ago.


Your journey to Port Arthur departs Hobart and crossing the Derwent River. Leaving behind the city, pass ever changing the landscape as you skirt the ocean and impressive rugged coastline. At Port Arthur, take advantage of the included walking tours around the main site and Isle of the Dead. Spend time exploring the multitude of restored and ruined buildings and learn of the site’s dramatic history.

Depart Hobart as we make our way to our accommodation in Launceston after check in at our hotel we give you a free and easy day in the city of Launceston as where we are staying is walking distance to the shops, local parks and beautiful views of the valley, river and mountains.

Day 4 

Cradle Mountain National Park from Launceston 

Travel deep into the lush rainforest of Cradle Mountain National Park. Walk through the Enchanted Forest and around the spectacular scenery of Dove Lake and indulge on some of Australia’s finest cheeses.

Awaken your senses to the magnificent splendour that is Cradle Mountain… Go deep into the Tasmanian forest and experience the solitary wilderness of waterfalls, glacial lakes, rainforest, wildlife and unsurpassed beauty of this World Heritage listed National Park. Discover many walks throughout the rainforest – catch your breath as you first glimpse the craggy outcrop of majestic Cradle Mountain towering above sparkling Dove Lake plateau.

Day 1: land at Melbourne Airport-Melbourne Sightseeing-Spirit of Tasman Ferry

As you land from your flight our tour bus and driver will be there to meet you, if you have landed the day before we another time our driver will come and get you. We will take you around the city sightseeing all the famous sights of Melbourne From Eureka Tower, Brighton beach bath houses also allow you to have time to do some shopping if you wish before we head to line up for the night time departure of the Spirit of Tasman ship to Tasmania.  On the ship we will have set up overnight cabin for you and your family to check in then start walking around the ship to explore and what ever  else you like to do in your free time.  Then we will arrive in Tasmania in the morning to the seaside town of Devonport.

DAY 2 cradle Mountain sightseeing – Launceston
Your day trip to Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, starts as you depart Devonport, explore the little town before  traveling past the mountains bluffs of the Great Western Tiers and by the towns of , Tasmania As you continue south, stop in Sheffield, the ‘Town of Murals,’ and enter a landscape of dense forest and mountainous terrain. Cross Cethana Dam, and watch for wildlife like wombats and wallabies when you reach the national park, where you’ll stop at Cradle Village Cafe for lunch . Then visit the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre for an introduction to the park before setting off on the Enchanted Forest Walk, a short stroll that provides views of the lush forest and a waterfall. Gaze at a majestic view of Cradle Mountain reigning over Dove Lake, and take a walk around the lake for more perspectives of the mountain (weather permitting). Before returning to Launceston, other attractions on your day trip include Waldheim Chalet, the forest home of Gustav Weindorfer, and Ashgrove Cheese Farm, where you’ll stop for tastings of Tasmanian cheese and learn how it’s made on site.

DAY 3: Launceston – Tamar Wineries and Attractions

See wetlands, farm lands, fruit orchards, galleries, honey farms, lavender farms, vineyards, blue gum plantations and much more today in the Tamar Valley; see why Tassie is so famed for its food and why even a milestone has a smile on its face! Be awed at Brady’s Lookout. Perhaps choose to visit exciting Seahorse World today or see Platypus, both at pretty Beauty Point in the West Tamar Valley.

Tour a goldmine in gutsy Beaconsfield and say hello to the locals at the great bakery/cafe then stroll through beautiful private gardens and enjoy personal attention and great new facilities at the Rowella Lavender Farm before crossing the futuristic and majestic Batman Bridge to the pleasures of the East Tamar Valley. Head east to Pipers River, spotting prolific verge-side wild heath, wattle and gums flowering in season, then on to Pipers Brook perhaps stopping for lunch at a vineyard at one of the welcoming cellar doors.
Make time to walk through pretty Lilydale, with street poles painted throughout with scenes from life in Tasmania and a mixture of art deco, colonial and country cottages and quaint country stores…. Enjoy a short bushwalk and see a famous waterfall before continuing on to Launceston, deep in the valley below.

Day 4:  Port Arthur/Tarana Tasman Devil zoo park.

After Breakfast we head south along the East coast of Tasmania area our first stop will be Tarana Tasmania Devil zoo where get experience of the famous little locals.
After we head to Lavender farm to enjoy the beauty of Tasmania lavender that you can enjoy, after
we travel Enjoy elegant Georgian landscapes at Port Arthur; see ancient oak trees astride white picket fences and long sweeping drives with quaint cottages, pretty gardens and an awesome array of colourful exotic trees in season.Perhaps purchase a guided tour at the visitor centre; hear vivid tales of early settlers military families who lived and worked in the convict settlement and hear tales of the hard lives of the convicts sent across the world to remote prison work places. Hear of the different ‘lives’ of the buildings; see convict built ruins and hear of industries constructed in Port Arthur, that made it a crowded and busy place in the 1860’s.

DAY 5  Hobart

Head south en route to Campbell Town, see historic monuments and crafts before heading to pretty Ross, site of the historic female factory prison and the Wool Centre, the town with an entrance avenue of elegant trees… and antique shops and horses at pasture in the main street.

At historic Oatlands, originally a colonial military post, see a bulb farm, many historic buildings, now converted as homes to craft shops and cafes .
In the Coal Valley, set in beautiful surroundings see the oldest and most photographed bridge in Australia at Richmond town with wide river banks just made for taking pictures. Historic hotels, shops and cottages, line the bustling township on the banks of the Coal River, which is also the home of St John’s Church, the oldest Catholic Church in Australia. Also nestled in the Coal Valley enroute to Hobart see elegant cool climate wineries with welcoming cellar doors.
we do the abalone/seafood farms/markets around Hobart so you can get them fresh as best as possible.
Tour finish
then we will take you back to the spirit of tasmania ferry ride for your trip back to Melbourne.
